Spinegear blood pressure monitors use a technique called oscillometry to evaluate the pressure pulses of your brachial artery and determine your systolic and diastolic blood pressure values.Â
Sometimes improper cuff placement or cuff movement can cause abrupt changes in the pressure being measured, which frequently cause error codes or noticeably longer measurement times.
The majority of Er U problems are related to the cuff; to fix this, follow the instructions below for an accurate outcome:
- Re-fasten the cuff.
- Rest 5 minutes before measurement.
- Sit down in a comfortable position, legs uncrossed, feet flat or on the floor, arm and back supported.
- Do not speak or move during the measurement.
- Keep the cuff and heart at the same level during the measurement.
If you still encounter this issue:
- Keep the Lower edge of the cuff 2-3cm from the inner elbow.
- Keep a certain space between the cuff and arm.
- Ensure that one finger can be inserted.
- Make sure the air tube is on the inside of your arm.
Re Test:
Please wait until the cuff is totally deflated before starting another measurement.Â
Stay still during the measurement.
